Alphapretations

плакати

Two typographic posters for the exhibition Alphapretations, related to the Bulgarian alphabet. Each invited designer was given two letters from the alphabet, which needed to be visualized in a typographic composition. Some of the letters were connected with specific words.

"Е" was the first given word and it needed to be used in the word "език" (language). The composition is a murge between the words "език" (language) and "язък" (it is a pity), creating a word-play. Both words have similar number and type of letters. The concept comunicats the fact that Bulgarian Cyrillic was not proposed and it is not used to represent Bulgaria In EU. Instead, a Russian Cyrilic lettershapes are used.

The second given letter was "ь" and it was our choice to use it in "typographic elevator".
